Slow Down, Buck-a-Roo!

As parents, sometimes we just loose site of the fact of how fast our child(ren) are actually growing. I personally do not realize this because I am with Daven all day, everyday -except the three hours he's at preschool Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. So, it really don't register to me when my Dad or Mom say..."Man, he's looking like a big boy these days!" Or my Papa will say "Don't blink, Sis -he's growing up on ya!" I always just smile and nod. Well, I must say when we went to the park it was a real eye-opener to how much he's growing and how smart he is. A couple of months ago he could not climb this and slide by himself. He was terrified. Now, he'd rather do it solo.

He's a beautiful little boy inside and out. He's Mommy's little boy that will always be my baby, and never too old for my hugs and snuggles. He a 2.5 year old going on 4 some days. I need him to slow it down some and give me time to catch up.

I truly enjoyed watching him climb up the jungle gym and giggling through the tunnels. I loved watching him swing on his belly like I used to. I loved watching him dig in the mulch for worms. And, most of all- I loved watching him race with his Daddy down the slide. He's so sweet and so innocent. These are the days I hope to never ever forget. His laugh, his cry when we had to leave and his wildness of being free and letting him RUN without saying...."SLOW DOWN DAVEN, YOU NEED TO WALK!"

Outside time is awesome for us and we each enjoyed this Sunday at the park.
