Tasty Tuesday {menu planning for the week}

I am going to start and hope I do not go without doing this. I have seen it on so many other blogs and it really seems to help them. In our little family we have to buy groceries with a list and a mission. We can not just go in and get a buggie and put items in it. We have to prepare meals for the week and know what we are having. This helps us not only stay on budget, but stops little confusions on "whats for dinner" that just lead us to eating out.

I decided to do this on Tuesday instead of Monday (like others) because I would love to share not only our menu for others to get ideas, but to share a possible new recipe we have found, tried and loved! However, I can't make any promises, I may not try something new or have a recipe to share!

Try not to judge our menu this week because we have a lot of pasta dishes, but we have not had them in awhile so it is nice to have them again and yes, we are having them all in one week.

For lunch everyday, Michael takes his lunch to work and Dav and I normally eat left overs from dinner or we eat a PB&J with some fruit. Sometimes we meet my mom for lunch.
Monday:
Bar-B-Que Chicken Cups with Pasta Salad

Tuesday:
Cheeseburger Macaroni with Sweet Peas + Biscuits

Wednesday:
Meat Loaf with Baked Potatoes and Spicy Black Eyed Peas

Thursday:
Sandwiches with chips
(Daven's Preschool Graduation at 7:00pm)

Friday:
Bow-Tie Velveeta Macaroni with Rotel

Saturday:
Memorial Day Cook Out

Sunday:
Left overs from the cook out

And here our Bar-B-Que Chicken Cups with Pasta Salad!
I used Erin's recipe for the cups; only thing I exchanged the beef for chicken.
And, I used Tiffany's recipe for the pasta salad!!!
Easy dinner my family loved!
Thanks ladies!

Baby Hyder is.....

Sugar and spice,
And everything nice,
That's what LITTLE GIRL'S are made of!

Baby Hyder is a GIRL!
A lot of you who voted a couple of weeks ago and a LOT in our families thought it was a girl!

I am not sure who is more excited...us or our families.
My family has not had a girl born in seventeen years and
Michael's side has not had one born in twenty-five years!

Crazy right?!?!?!?!

It was very, very, very, very hard to make our families wait all day long.
I even had lunch with my mom on Thursday and she kept hinting and wanting me to slip saying
"he" or "she".
Well, I did great! I did not slip one time.

That afternoon, we had my Mom, Dad, Sister and Papa come over for the reveal.
Michael's family does not live here, we will see them this coming weekend. They, however, ask for no reveal, they simply could not wait that long....HA!

It was so tricky how I wanted to do this.
I kept running through all these possibilities in my mind, however, none of them seemed perfect for my family.
Our first option was to do balloons. We'd open the box for them and they would watch pink or blue balloons go up in the air. The second option was to place pink or blue icing in the middle of a cupcake for them to bite into. Well, I personally did not trust a bakery around here -I was so afraid they would screw them up. Then I was going to make them -found awesome, easy ideas on Pinterest. But, I just did not want to do that! So, we just placed the pink ribbons around the liners and sprinkled the top with pink or blue.

They simply were beside themselves when they got to our house.
My papa kept asking me "well, what is the baby?"
My sister kept shoving food in her mouth so she could get her dinner down -I told her we would do the reveal after dinner. Bless her heart!
And, my parents were just walking in circles, ready to see!

They were ask to turn around. When Michael counted to three they could turn around and look down at the bar. Yea, excuse the mess on it. We had a little episode with poison ivy we had to take care of before the reveal. ;)

This picture just makes its own caption!!!
They were hilarious. I was laughing so hard, trying to hold the camera straight!
Poor Reese wanted a BOY!

The second round, we are sporting TEAM PINK!

My sweet Papa! He is just so tickled. I love this photo. Brought a little tear to my eye!
And, I know my Nana would be on cloud nine if she were here with us today.

...and we could not be more happy with this blessing God is giving to us in October!

Here is our little love on Thursday.
Mommy and Baby are doing great!!!!

Just five of them?

Ok, I am just going to admit this now, it is very hard for me to blog every single day in May. It just is. I have tried it, and obviously I am only doing my favorite ones. Slack attack I know.

Today is about five of my favorite blogs and what I love about them! I am all about connecting with Mommy Bloggers. That is why I blog. I share other stuff, but it's mainly our stories that I never want to forget!

Whew. I don't like narrowing things I just love down to numbers. Heck fire. This is a hard one for me.

LOVE Tiffany! This girl is not only a best friend, she is the best blog designer I know. I talk to her every single day. We can text for hours on end. It does not matter what we are talking about, we just chat forever. Her blog is a lot like mine. It is our life. It is our diary and our memories of our beautiful families. Tiffany was my first "blog friend". We later just started talking a lot and we just connect. She makes me giggle, she helps me all the time and she is just perfect the way she is. I can not go without saying how beautiful her little girl is and I CAN NOT wait to meet this family in person, hopefully later this year! Eeeeeeeek!

Made to be a Momma

Next up would
have to be Katie! Such a doll. Love her to pieces. She is the most talented girl I have met blogging wise. A mother the most beautiful boys, I love to read and keep up with them plus her sweet family. If you are a boy mom, you simply know how precious they are to our souls.  Her love for sewing  is just wonderful. I have actually learned a lot from her tutorials. I'm so glad we are friends and I love sitting down and talking to her thru emails on motherly advice.

And, then there is Breanna! What a wonderful and beautiful lady! She is a jewel. I absolutely love her blogging style. She pours her heart out into every single post that is there. I honestly can sit down and read her blog for hours. I go thru her archives all the time and I just get lost in it. She's also another "boy mom" and let me tell you what....Jonah is BEAUTIFUL! I actually met Breanna thru blogging while she was pregnant with him. I have enjoyed keeping up with him plus his growth. She is just as sweet as they come and her heart is SOOO big. I am so glad to call her a friend too.

The Sweetest Things... This is Whitney. Oh, my gosh! LOVE this girl. She has the sweetest blog EVER. Her family is just precious. Yet, another "Boy Mom" with two DARLING, BEAUTIFUL boys, she has a beautiful little girl too. Her blog is their story and how precious life is to them. I've been reading her blog for a while. I found her thru a link up I believe, then I fell in love with her shop on Etsy! She is a crochet queen. I really want to purchase one of her head bands for our baby girl soon. Ahh! After following her blog and pregnancy story, I connected with her on IG! Her photos make my day. I love seeing them in my feed. She is the one that helped and talked with me about going to a mini van. Just a sweetie!

The Counts

This is Elenie! She has the sweetest blog there is too. And, another "boy mom". I started reading her blog when she was pregnant with Cooper! And, what a beautiful gift from God he is. He is just ADORABLE! I love everything about her blog and her. She is just a classy, hip mommy sharing her love and beautiful family with all of us. And, I have to add in she is a HUGE Alabama fan. Roll Tide Roll!!!!! I may not be from or live in Alabama, but we are huge Bama fans too. So glad I have met her thru the blogging world and she's another I love keeping up on IG daily!!!!!
